I know that is obvious that I'm a fan, but I've always wanted to see which albums people usually like of his besides Thriller of course. So here are my album rankings of the 13 time Grammy winner's best work throughout his life. If you don't like Michael Jackson or his work that is understandable. Just be polite. Thanks.

How I rank his work:

1. Off the Wall
2. Thriller
2. Dangerous
2. Bad
5. Ben
6. HIStory: Past, Present and Future
7. Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5
8. Invincible
9. ABC
10. Got to be there
10. Music & Me
10. The Essential Michael Jackson

It would be nice to see at least a few votes.

I am not a great or knowledgable fun. I probably could have voted for one over the other with more confidence had I known the highpoints of each. Right now, I'd say Thriller.

It's looking like I am one of the minority here, at least at the start... Thriller will most likely take it but I always liked History.

Interesting choice. The best song on that album in my opinion would be "They don't care about us."

Even tho I can remember when he was just a little kid dancing and singing with his brothers, I cannot say I really know all his albums.

What song was it that had 4 bass beats in it? I heard someone talking about interviewing Jackson on the making of that song and video (this ran on NPR soon after Jackson died).

My favorite is Blood on the Dancefloor.

I always thought the Thriller album was overrated, even though the Thriller single was indeed excellent.

Of those listed for voting, I voted for Bad.

I do miss MJ! What a great artist!

The Thriller single didn't even reach #1(it was actually #4). It was the dance and video that popularized it. However, Micheal's own compositions Billie Jean, Beat it and The Girl is Mine with Paul McCartney were all number 1s of the Thriller album.

But note that some of his biggest songs were all written, composed and produced all by himself. The ones written by solely Quincy, Riley or Rod rarely did that. Look at Don't Stop till you get enough, Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton had barely anything to do with it. Of course Quincy and Rod were both legendary in their own right having worked with the likes of Frank Sinatra.

It is interesting to see that you liked Blood on the Dance Floor. That album did very well in the UK, but was considered a failure in the US though. But yes, even I like some singles on that album eventhough it was meant to be just a remix album.
